FACULTY ACTIVITIES:

·         M/s K.Poojitha attended BOS, (as Alumni of K.B.N College) in M.com department at KBN College, Vijayawada on July 12th 2017.

Guest Lectures and Workshops

·         The guest lecture for one day was organized on “GST seminar organized by UG department for 2 nd  M.B.A students on 7 th  August 2017.

·         M.Com students have attended the seminar on Breast Feeding organized by Women cell of Maris Stella College, on 5 th  August 2017.

·         Three Days Workshop on Disaster Management was conducted by NSS of our college 2 students of II M.Com have attended from 16th to 18th  August 2017.Students are M. Prameela and Mohammad Raheemunisa.

·         On December 16th, 2017, I & II M.Com students participated in the Orientation on Photography – Techniques & Career Prospects was organized in co-ordination with “Nikon”.

·         An awareness programme on the topic “Career and Personality Development” was organized by the resource person, Mr. G. S.Rao, Director Guru Academy, Vijayawada on November 13th 2017.

·         Along with other PG students, II M.Com students M. Prameela, Bindu Bhavani, V. Uma Bharathi participated in the “Youth Exchange Programme” organized by Ministry of HRD, Government of Andhra Pradesh from 16th October 2017 to 18th October 2017.

UGC NATIONAL SEMINAR

·         The UG & PG Commerce and MBA departments had organized a one day National Seminar on Global Business – A Paradigm Shift on 23rd February 2018.

The seminar intends to facilitate sharing of Knowledge among the Industrialists, academicians, research scholars and students related to wide areas of Commerce and Management. The objective of the seminar was to examine the drivers and factors influencing the International Business and also to identify and discuss sources of competition, emerging issues of global business from the perspective of creativity, change and innovation. The seminar took place in two Technical sessions where more than 50 papers from industrialists, academicians, research scholars and students related to wide areas of Commerce and Management participated and presented on various subthemes. Each session was handled by two experts from Industry and Academia. The Seminar started with inaugural session for which the Chief Guest was Prof.NoorBasha Abdul, Principal, College of Arts & Law, AcharyaNagarjuna University, Guntur. The Keynote Speaker was Dr. A.Subhananda Rao, Director, Advanced Research & Consultancy, Srinidhi Institute of Science & Technology, Hyderabad. The first technical session was headed and chaired by Dr.Kunal Gaurav, Associate Dean & Professor, ICBM School of Business Excellence, Hyderabad and Dr.V.Lakshmi Sudha, Assistant Professor, Gitam University, Hyderabad. The second technical session was chaired by Dr.Ch.Jayasankara Prasad, Sr.Assistant Professor, Dept.Of BusinessManagement, Krishna Univeresity, Machilipatnam and co-chaired by Mr.B.Srinivas, CEO, Real Milk, Vijayawada. The Seminar came to an end with the Valedictory Session for which the Chief Guest was Dr.Shiva Rama Prasad,HOD, Business Management, Acharya

Nagarjuna University, Guntur while the guest of Honour was Dr.V.Narasimha Rao, Director - PG Centre, KBN College , Vijayawada. Best paper awards were presented to the participants.

Students Activities and Achievements

·            Students of II M.Com have gone through 6 weeks internship from 24^th April, 2017 to 5^th June, 2017 with various manufacturing units and industries in order to do their academic project in III Semester.

·         I &II M.Com students participated in “Convergence 2k18” organized by P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts & Science. In the event, Md. Raheemunnisa and Alana Harper won First Prize in the event ‘Black & White’

·         M. Prameela and Alana Harper of II M.Com participated U.G.C Sponsored One-Day Seminar with Paper Presentation on the topic "G.S.T New Dawn in Tax Regime" was organised by K.B.N College, Kothapeta on 23rd September 2017 and won First Prize, Cash Prize of Rs. 1500.

·         V. Vinitha and Raheemunnisa of II M.Com participated and presented a paper in one day National Seminar on Global Business – A Paradigm Shift on 23rd February 2018 which is organized by UG & PG Commerce and MBA departments and won first prize in session I.
